    Question

Okay, I'm a bit of a newb to all of this, and I wanted to ask some questions so I don't screw too much up. I'm about to film a short horror film. I have my camera, editor, and projector. I'm going to shoot it with Kodachrome 40, and most of the filming will be taking place during early dusk, right when the sun is beginning to set. Do I need anything else? Maybe something as far as lighting or maybe filters? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for any questions that may have obvious answers!

One more bit of info on this... If it helps come up with any advice, the majority of the film will be shot in a forest/river bank area. Thanks again!

You sound like you are good to go. Since the sun will be low in the sky you should try to not have it in back of your subjects, because they will become underexposed. (backlighting)

(Unless this is the look you'd like in some scenes.)

Also, since you will be exposing K-40 in daylight, you'll need to use the camera's internal filter.
